the online live music gig guide for birmingham & the midlands

Electric Heroin

With a list of influences including Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Bees, and the Doves, Electric Heroin have crafted their own style of music and its already attracting knowing glances from the right people. No two songs sound the same, and yet somehow its obvious as soon as you hear Electric Heroin live that the songs just have that certain thing about them that connects the songs to the band. It wasn’t planned this, way, there is no agenda: Electric Heroin only write songs that they want to play, that they would listen to themselves.

With the addition of a new drummer in the cold bleak winter of 2004, Electric Heroin have barely had chance to stop and catch their breath. During the relatively short space of time that has passed since those long nights of December, the band have accomplished more than many bands only dream of: headlining sell-out gigs in Wolverhampton, playing the Birmingham Academy, recording a demo CD that challenges the majority of signed bands at the present moment. This may sound like an arrogant claim, but Electric Heroin are no fools, they don’t confuse confidence with arrogance. Listening and seeing is believing, so make sure you catch this band and see what all the fuss is about…
